Sample Results & Monitoring

SmartComply tracks all monitoring data for each permitted industrial user.

Recording Sample Results

  1. Go to Pretreatment → Results or navigate to an IU's detail page.
  2. Click + Add Result.
  3. Select the IU and the monitoring period.
  4. Enter values for each discharge parameter defined in the permit.
  5. The system automatically compares each value against the permit limits and flags exceedances.
  6. Click Save.

Exceedance Detection

When a sample result exceeds a permit limit, SmartComply:

  • Flags the result with a red exceedance indicator
  • Creates a violation record linked to the permit and parameter
  • Triggers any configured notice/escalation workflows
  • Updates the IU's compliance status

Monitoring Calendar

The monitoring calendar shows all upcoming and overdue sampling events across all IUs. Filter by IU, parameter, or status. Overdue samples are highlighted in red.
