Sign Up & Create Your Workspace

SmartComply uses a workspace model — each water utility or agency gets its own isolated workspace with a custom subdomain (e.g., springfield-water.smartcomply.app).

Step 1 — Sign Up

Visit smartcomply.app/signup and enter your name, email address, and a secure password. You'll receive a verification email to confirm your account.

Step 2 — Name Your Workspace

Enter the name of your organization (e.g., "Springfield Water Authority"). SmartComply will auto-generate a URL slug from the name, but you can edit it. The slug must be unique, at least 2 characters, and can contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.

Step 3 — Select Modules

Choose the compliance modules your program requires:

  • Backflow & Cross-Connection — Annual test tracking, tester certifications, automated notices
  • Industrial Pretreatment — IU permits, monitoring, sample results, SNC reporting
  • FOG Source Control — FSE registration, grease trap manifests, hauler portals
  • MS4 Stormwater — Outfall inventory, IDDE investigations, BMP inspections

You can add or remove modules later from Settings → Subscription.

Step 4 — Choose a Tier

Each module is available in Starter, Growth, or Professional tiers, with an Enterprise option for custom needs. You can also select a bundle for a discount if you need multiple modules.

Step 5 — Select a State Template

Choose your state from the dropdown to pre-load regulatory limits, report templates, and compliance schedules specific to your jurisdiction. Choose "Generic" if your state is not listed — you can customize limits later.
