Bulk Import
If you're migrating from another system or have a large dataset, use the bulk import feature to add many facilities at once.
Preparing Your File
SmartComply accepts CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files. Your file should include columns for:
- Facility Name (required)
- Address / Street (required)
- City (required)
- State (required)
- ZIP Code (required)
- Facility Type
- Phone Number
- Contact Name
Running the Import
- Go to Import → New Import.
- Select Facilities as the import type.
- Upload your file (drag and drop or click to browse).
- SmartComply's AI will automatically map your columns to the expected fields. Review and adjust mappings if needed.
- Preview the first 10 rows to verify data quality.
- Click Start Import.
Import Results
After the import completes, you'll see a summary showing:
- Total rows processed
- Successfully imported records
- Skipped rows (with reasons — duplicates, missing required fields, etc.)
- A downloadable error report for rows that failed
